Tuesday Streetart: State Library Station – 123

on

Another trip to Melbourne brought me to State Library Station, where I saw large scale murals by Danie Mellor.

Called Forever, the artworks are printed on the glass panels along La Trobe Street. They show old portraits of Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung women placed into modern landscapes taken on Wurundjeri Country.

Last week, I was surprised that fellow blogger Nes of Nes Felicio’s Photography, joined me in my weekly quest for StreetArts.

Here was her contribution during her holiday in Massachusetts. I hope you can visit and appreciate it too.

It was hard to catch it without all the cars but got there in the end. Thanks Pepper.

I agree that it is unique, the main reason why I took a photo of it. It is about history and the First Nation’s story.
