Patricia suggested having breakfast at a healthier option restaurant. We all agreed to go, except for Tim, who preferred to sleep-in a little longer.

We walked back to our accommodation, taking our time to enjoy the local scenery and the laid-back charm of the province along the way.

We had pre-booked a van to take us to several destinations for the day. Our first stop was Casaroro Falls, Valencia, a beautiful waterfall tucked away in the lush greenery. To reach the waterfall, visitors have to go down hundreds of steps and then walk along a rocky trail.

It looked beautiful online but the thought of going down then climbing all those steps back up was too much for Jack and me! We decided to stay behind and enjoy the surroundings while our kids continued the trek to the falls. They came back tired but excited, saying the waterfall was well worth the effort.
I did a bit of sketching while enjoying a drink of fresh coconut juice.

Our next stop was a sulfur vent area near Dauin. Steam rose from the ground and the strong sulfur smell was impossible to miss—definitely a unique experience! It was a reminder of the geothermal activity beneath Negros Oriental. Not the nicest smell haha, but certainly memorable.

Here is a video from that place.
Next, our driver took us to Pulangbato Falls. Here is a signage at the entrance and I forced my kids and hubby to pose beside the place where they come from.

“Pulang Bato” means “Red Rock” in English, named after the reddish-coloured rocks found around the falls. Surrounded by lush greenery and cool waters, it was a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy nature.

We enjoyed lunch here. The food wasn’t the best… but the chance to eat beside the waterfalls more than made up for it. The relaxing ambiance and sound of the cascading water made the experience well worth it.

And what better way to end our day trip than with a relaxing soak at Red Rock Hot Springs? After a day of sightseeing and walking, the warm mineral-rich waters were just what we needed. It was the perfect way to unwind and cap off a wonderful day.

Our driver wanted to show us more of Valencia, so he took us on a drive past Mango Ranch. We didn’t stop, but it was still lovely to see the beautiful property and surrounding scenery as we passed by.

Dinner brought us back to Anahaw Dauin, the same place where we had breakfast. When a restaurant earns a second visit in the same day, you know the food must be good.
