Serenity found Outdoors

Being outdoors brings a kind of peace you don’t find anywhere else.

There’s something really calming about a misty day.

Sometimes it’s in the rustle of trees as the wind moves through them.

Other times, it’s the stillness of a lake,

or the soft ripple of water as ducks glide by.

Even clouds drifting slowly overhead can feel calming, like the sky itself is relaxing.

There’s a quiet peace that comes at night, when the moon hangs low and the world slows down. The noise of the day fades, and all that’s left is stillness and soft sky.

Being outdoors reminds me to slow down. Just me, the fresh air, and whatever the day decides to bring.

I am linking this to Lens Artist Photo Challenge with Egidio as this week’s host.

I’m with you on all of this. The peace and quiet of a canal as it winds its way through the countryside does it for me – ducks, swans, herons, sheep and cattle in the fields, birds in the trees, all seen and heard on walks along canal paths, or even from a boat sailing along at just four miles an hour as in my most recent weekend out.

    1. Teresa says:

I agree with you on serenity found in canals. Even when there’s a lot of people there’s still calmness.
