Nothing extravagant or over-the-top—just a quiet, early Mother’s Day celebration with Jack and Pat. Simple, but special. Got some gifts too from the kids. Though I haven’t heard from Tim yet, but that’s not unusual with the time difference in London. Heading to bed now with a full heart. It was a lovely day.

How lovely – our Mother’s Day is long gone – fourth Sunday in Lent. Very complicated!
YesI know, my son greeted me also that time. I don’t know why they have to make it on different days. Our Father’s Day is in September 🤷🏻♀️
Ours is based on old tradition when servants were given the 4th Sunday in Lent off to visit their families – their mums in particular. Father’s day is a modern invention and I can’t remember when ours is: June I think
