Paint the town (and windows) red
The Cardrona Hotel is one of New Zealand’s most beloved historic landmarks. With its vintage character, mountain backdrop, and deep roots in local history, it’s a place that captures both the eye and the imagination. Next to it is a red vintage petrol pump, windows of a red phone booth and charming old cottages. I…
‘Lost’ in Bunjil Place
This morning, we saw an immersive exhibition outside Bunjil Place in Narre Warren. Created by renowned Australian artist Amanda Parer, LOST features glowing (at night), oversized sculptures of rare and endangered plants from around the world. I am linking this to Becky’s Simply Red and to Johnbo’s Cellpic Sunday. It is also the last day…

Sit & Knit
Spotted these two red chairs in the town of Te Anau, NZ—right by the lake and just too cute to ignore. Te Anau’s known as the gateway to Fiordland, but honestly, it’s got its own quiet charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. The chairs had a little sign that said ‘Sit…
At the Old Cheese Factory
BERWICK, VICTORIA I love spending time at the Old Cheese Factory. It’s a great spot to just unwind—there’s always something to see, from beautiful flowers to interesting sculptures. It’s one of those places that’s perfect for a slow stroll and a bit of me-time. Here are red flowers and wooden wheels for Becky’s Simply Red…
Knocking on Red Doors
Every time Jack and I visit Pat at her place, it feels like we become tourists all over again. We explore new neighborhoods, try different restaurants, spot fresh murals — and yes, you guessed it… I end up photographing red doors, but through a whole new set of eyes.

Tuesday Streetart: Hosier Lane – 95
Came across this piece in Hosier Lane by @anamillas — a skull with a single red rose beneath the words “Not the flowers we want.” It made me pause. In a laneway full of vibrant murals, this one felt quieter — but heavier. It’s a tribute to the many women still living under the weight…
A window and a red skirt
Spotted this charming window shop in Belgrave, tucked in the Dandenong Ranges. A mannequin in a red skirt and top stood proudly on display—simple but striking. Just one of the little gems that make this creative town so fun to explore. I am linking this to Monday Window Princess and Becky’s Simply Red
Ditch swallowed a little red car
Spotted on Acland Street in St Kilda a little red car casually parked in a ditch—on purpose! No accidents here, just a quirky display that makes you do a double look. It’s like it’s saying, “Let’s turn roadworks into art.” And honestly? It works. Because only here could a car halfway underground still look cool….
Floral Friday – 7
Raindrops on red flowers look so pretty… like little sparkles on velvet petals. The rain makes the red even deeper and more alive. I am linking this to : Becky’s Simply Red Cee’s FOTD Floral Friday
Red Phone Booth Door
I still remember the first time I saw a red phone booth on my first trip to London back in 2016 — it was love at first sight! There’s just something about them that feels so iconic and charming. Ever since then, I’ve been a little obsessed. Every time I spot a red phone booth…

Palais Theatre Window
The Palais Theatre in St Kilda has been a Melbourne icon since it opened in 1927. Originally built as a cinema, it replaced an earlier venue that burned down. With its grand Art Deco style and seaside location, it quickly became a favourite spot for live shows and concerts. Today, it’s still one of the…
About last night
There were some red (or red-ish!) dishes from last night’s dinner taken with my cellphone. My friend’s cousin is visiting from the Philippines for a couple of weeks, so she put together a little dinner so we could all meet her. Great food, lots of laughs, and a splash of colour on every plate!
A Red beanie kind of day
It’s beanie weather in Melbourne today! Cold enough to make your ears tingle, but sunny enough to still enjoy being out. I’ve got my layers on and my RED beanie snug — winter mode activated! I am linking this to 6WS and to Simply Red

Red Doors of the St Kilda Kiosk
The St Kilda Kiosk, perched at the end of the St Kilda Pier, has been a familiar landmark since the early 1900s. Originally built in 1904, it served refreshments to the many locals and visitors who flocked to the pier for seaside strolls and boat trips. The building, with its distinctive Edwardian design, became a…

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC I’m also linking this to Becky’s Simply Red Challenge. Just seeing photos of Prague on Google had already made it one of my top bucket list cities — so finally visiting in 2018 was truly a red-letter day for me.
