Travel Diary: On the Road to Da Nang – Day 10

on

On our last day in Hoi An, Jack and I started the morning with breakfast before heading out to savour our final moments in the town.

We wandered aimlessly, browsing for little things we could bring back home to Australia, and a few for my family in the Philippines.

… when we stumbled upon a charming gallery along the way.

From there, we made our way to our final stop: our hotel in Da Nang, the Wyndham.

It was still too early to check in, so we crossed the street and spent some time by Da Nang Beach.

With our stomachs already calling for food, we settled into one of the beach chairs and enjoyed a simple but perfect lunch of prawns, fried rice, and cold drinks. This is the life.

When we finally checked in, we were greeted with an incredible view from our room—along with thoughtful touches like welcome chocolates and a matcha cake.

Once the sun softened, we headed back out to make the most of our first day in Da Nang.

Even the waste bins here were surprisingly cute.

For dinner, we took a leisurely walk to a seafood restaurant beautifully designed with touches reminiscent of Hoi An’s scenery… a lovely way to end the day.

I’ve enjoyed revisiting Hoi An with you and am also curious to see Da Nang, a place we didn’t get to (apart from the airport!)

    1. Teresa says:

Da Nang is more modern, and staying at the beach made me think of Queensland, Australia.

I love seeing Hoi An through your eyes – we visited many moons ago and I don’t recall everything to be so vibrant! My favourite image is the 2 of you on the beach with your beverages!

Maybe they just did this recently. I don’t know because it’s our first time there. Da Nang’s beaches are so good!
