Avignon in France makes a wonderful day trip destination, which really is a combination of the young urban vibe and medieval, old town settings.


Today, this walled town in the Provence region is a vibrant place full of cafes, fun shops and colourful alleys. Here is the more modern city centre…

And here are some of Avignon’s old town empty alley ways which we really enjoyed exploring.
