“In every work of art, the artist himself is present.” – Christian Morgenstern
Sassafras is a quaint little charming village in the southeast part of Victoria, Australia in the mountainous and scenic Dandenong Ranges.
Here are some public art, some chairs and some windows for this week’s challenges.
It looks like a charming place to spend some time. Those are fun photos.
My hubby and I, we never get tired of this place.
Love these, they are so much fun. I have to remember the name of this town. I’d LOVE to visit it.
You have to! It’s just a small town but with lots of shops and cafes…good for a morning stroll or even a weekend getaway.
Ahh, I approve of this place 100%. We do tend to gravitate to similar locations. 🙂 Brilliant all, but most of all the giraffe, the three babies and the kangaroo. I must report that two photos (immediately after the bucket) do not display. (Or possibly you deleted them?) I’m just sorry to miss out on anything, as this is such a wonderful village.
Thanks Manja for liking it. And ooops accidentally deleted it. I hope it’s back up now. The giraffe’s my fave too! Have a great day, my friend!
Yes, I can see them now, more lovely chairs. Thanks!
Yay. Thanks for pointing it out.
What fun images! I loved the first one, but then they just kept coming. A lovely post.
Thanks…glad you enjoyed the images !
Pure magic. I especially liked the giraffe and the babies but I also hanker after that gorgeous Acer in the pot. Puts mine to shame.
Glad you liked them, Maris. ❤️
Indeed, a charming place and a cute name. Thank you for sharing.
I think it is a name of a plant or tree I am not quite sure but definitely suits the place.
Hi Teresa. We have quite a lot of sassafras trees hereabouts. Their leaves have one, two, or three lobes, so they are easily identified. I don’t seem to have any photos in my archives, at least I don’t have the tag. But I am not all that thorough when tagging.
Oh yes, I looked it up as well. Lots of those trees in the mountains where the village town is located.
Hi again, Teresa. I was wrong, in my external archive I have something with the tag sassafras. Now you got me on a hunt.
Haha me too 🍃
I’d love a poke around here with my camera!
It used to be very busy here during weekends, but after the lockdown it wasn’t. But hopefully it will get back to it.
Love the giraffe!
Glad you liked it, Jo! My fave too!
What a marvelous fun post for this week. Thanks Teresa for playing along. 😀
My pleasure to join in, Cee!
Teresa, these are such fun works of art. The giraffe is adorable. Thanks for playing along. 🙂
My pleasure Marsha 🥰
What a fun and quirky place, Teresa. I like the eyelashes on the giraffe.
Oh Natalie, you are so observant! Thanks!
Teresa are those chairs tiny or was it the camera’s perspective? Interesting stuff they’ve got in that town. 🙂
Yes, the pink, the yellow and the wooden chairs are children’s chairs. Nice observation 👍🏼
lovely works of art. the giraffe is charming!
It is. Thanks Wi ❤️
I love your selections, Teresa! What a lovely place.
