Pampering and Tuesday Streetart – 4

COLLINGWOOD, VIC

This was on a Tuesday, the 11th of April, when I took the train to the city to catch up with Pat since she took a few days off to celebrate her birthday.

We met up at the Parliament Station to catch the tram going to Collingwood. First we had a light breakfast at a cafe…

We were in Easey Street and I saw this Easey’s restaurant which is popular because it had on its rooftop, train carriages, which were overlooking Melbourne City.

For Natalie’s Photographing Public Art Challenge

This is a huge mural on the side of that same building in Collingwood. This amazing piece was done to celebrate the lives of Keith Haring (an American pop arty artist) and Jean-Michel Basquiat (an African American artist who rose to fame in the 1980s as part of the Neo-expressionism movement) and their influence in street art around the world.

Beside it was our destination…. the Sense of Self Massage and Spa. My daughter and I had a very lovely and relaxing morning.

For Ludwig’s Monday Window … at the reception area.

Had a wonderful hour of relaxation massage and another 2 hours of time in the spa, complete with snacks and tea.

Then on our way to lunch we walked around Collingwood and I saw a lot of doors and murals.

The cafe was quite busy so we had to wait. We walked around to see if we could find anything to buy in its shop… but nah…too expensive!

It was worth the wait tho…lunch was pretty good!

Always a pleasure. Just had a hard time capturing the carriages because I was afraid that cars might run me over. Haha
