Naturally Monochrome

For Elke’s Monochrome Madness Challenge with the theme of Naturally Monochrome.

These photos were taken in colour, but at first glance, you might not think so. There’s something about the soft light, the shadows, and the muted tones that give them a monochrome feel. It wasn’t planned that way – just one of those happy accidents where the mood of the day, the weather, and the natural surroundings came together perfectly.

great post – but the best part was reading how these were color photos but ended up so muted down – how very cool. And I love the hand art – and all of them actually

That tree with the birds looks like it could be in the Hitchcock film of that name! I love your mountain shots in particular 🙂

    1. Teresa says:

Yes the birds do look like it. Thanks, glad you like those mountain shots. Have a good day, Sarah.

They are great, Teresa. The Swiss Alps and the New Zealand mountains – yes, now that I’m thinking of it, those majestic grey giants are perfect for the challenge. But my favourite is the silhouette of the bare branch with the birds.
