Surrounded by mountains and rice terraces, I photographed these doors at the Muong Hoa Valley in Sapa, Vietnam. Most are just simple wooden doors.

But there are some that are more well-crafted and beautifully done.

Full of character. Not sure I’d want to live in some of those, Teresa xx
True, same thoughts here but seeing the people living there … they all seem to be happy and contented. Thanks Jo.
Some great doors in a fascinating rural setting. Vietnam is on my bucket list for sure.
Vietnam may not be the cleanest but people are very friendly and the destination is worth to be on your bucketlist, Scooj!
Simple, but useful, practical doors and gates. I love the iron gate pushed open onto the brick wall.
I guess some houses are being renovated and some built according to standards now.
Great series of doors. It was interesting seeing the doors and the area around them.
It us refreshing to see the mountains and scenery all around.
A simple village it seems, but in such a beautiful setting!
I know some may be living in poverty, but others have now improved their living situations. Thanks Sarah.
You really get the atmosphere of the place – thanks for sharing ❤️
Thanks for the kind words Ange.
It looks like a fascinating trip, Teresa! Simple living, simple doors. 🙂
So true. Thanks Brenda, it was an amazing trip.
