Monday Window in the CBD

Went for a day out in Melbourne CBD and saw this modern high rise.

Rising above Melbourne’s skyline, the twin curves of Sapphire by the Gardens look every bit like a finished dream. This is the future home of Shangri-La Melbourne, a luxury hotel that was meant to open its doors in 2026, but for now, remains quietly waiting.

From the street, it gleams with glass catching the light, the skybridge elegantly linking the towers. But step closer, and you realise it’s a story still unfolding… completed on the outside, yet unfinished within. Hopefully this project will push through because if not then everything will just go to waste.
