For this week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge, Sofia leads us with the gentle and reflective theme of Mellow.
Mellow is a soft, quiet kind of feeling. It’s like warm sunlight in the late afternoon.

Or it can be the gentle colours of autumn leaves — not too bright, not too loud, just calm and easy.

There’s something truly mellow about birds flying freely along the shoreline. They glide with ease, no rush in their wings, just moving with the wind.

The sound of gentle waves below and the wide sky above makes everything feel calm.

There’s a mellow kind of magic in backyard ponds. The water sits still, reflecting soft skies and leafy branches above.

Whether it’s a single flower in a field or a cluster of Lotus in a garden, mellow flowers remind us to slow down and notice the little things. Their colours are calm, like a gentle smile from nature.

Mellow doesn’t just live in nature — it shows up in quiet corners of the city too. Sometimes, it’s a soft pastel mural on an old brick wall, faded just enough by time and sun.

Ah, those yellow tones are so mellow to my eyes. Wonderful post, Teresa!

Wonderful examples, Teresa. I adore the brick mural. And the field of Lotus is stunning with the one flower in the foreground.
Glad you liked that field of flowers.

A lovely varied selection Teresa 🙂 I especially like the rays of light in your first shot and the beautiful low-angled lotus one. Also, I’m glad you pointed out that mellow can be found in cities too!
