Melbourne Tram Doors

Over the years, Melbourne’s trams have come a long way. The traditional trams, which by the way are still rolling on the streets up to now, reflect the nostalgia and heritage of the past. This here is a sample of the olden style tram that serves as a mode of transport for locals but mostly for tourists to go around the city.

Today’s trams showcase a vibrant new identity through colourful murals, artistic designs and eye-catching patterns. Each design brings a splash of creativity to the city, turning everyday journeys into moving works of art.

I remember when they first started painting the trams, back in the 80’s. They were amazing. These are too Teresa.

There are so many designs now, but most of them are advertising. I like the classic colours more, it has the Melbourne feels to it. Thanks Leanne.

I love these. The old style tram looks like some of the ones running along the seafront in Blackpool about 30 miles from me. I like the modern ones though, they look so colourful – I wish our Manchester trams looked like that, they are all just a boring yellow each decorated with a couple of black bees.

Sometimes classic colours are great too for the history of it.Thanks Eunice.
