My son just left yesterday after a wonderful month-long visit, and my heart is full of cherished memories. From long brunches at cafés and enjoying his delicious home-cooked meals to taking trips up the mountains and engaging in fun family Jenga battles (which I lost three times by the way)—but redeeming myself with a win in UpWords—every moment was special. Our time together ended perfectly with a joyful afternoon at the park, where both babies and adults played together. I already miss Tim, but I’m grateful for the time we had. Hoping to see him again next year—but until then, it’s back to video calls.

It sounds like you had some good times together during his visit. Sometimes it must be hard having so much distance between you though even if you do video call each other. My son lives only a half hour drive away from me and that’s far enough. He does come home two nights each week when his work shifts change but I still miss him when he’s not here.
My daughter lives an hour away from me too. So I have two that is far from me. Anyway, I am getting used to it.
Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. Glad that you build some memories with family.
Always such fun with them.
Not easy when you’re so far apart, but video calls help xx
But no hugs for the mean time. Well, that is life.
