Sometimes the rain can be on your side…
Lysterfield Park can be very busy, especially on weekends, but this time, with rain in the forecast, there was hardly anyone around.

Just me and my friends, braving the occasional drops of rain.

And what a lovely surprise it was. Lysterfield Park is a beautiful natural escape, with peaceful walking trails winding through bushland, wetlands and open grassy areas.

With hardly a soul around, it felt even more tranquil — just the sounds of birds, the gentle rustling of the trees, and a few kangaroos lazily resting in the distance.

Sometimes, a little rain is exactly what you need to see a familiar place in a completely different way.

Wonderful pics! I tried to pick a favorite but I couldn’t decide. 😁
Thank you Pepper. No need to pick one, it is the memory with friends that was important.
Looks so serene
The rain helped…thanks MrsW
A very content looking kangaroo. No such thing as the wrong weather?
The kangaroo was definitely enjoying the peace as well. Thanks Helen.
I know what you mean about a rainy day walk – it can often surprise you in a way that a sunny day does not 😀 Could you send some of that rain our way please? We haven’t had any for two months now, though it seems we may get a little (too little) later this week.
Well some rain in here… I guess I don’t have any right to complain. Some parts of the world are in worse conditions. Hoping you’ll have a drizzle sometime soon.
We had a little rain last night – not enough but it’s a start 🙂
Hope situation gets better soonish.
We had an unexpectedly cloudy morning here, Teresa (but no rain!) and it made a nice change to be able to walk out in the salt pans. Lovely reflections and quiet moments with you. Many thanks xx
Happy that you joined me on my walk. Thanks Jo.
The rain was your friend! What a stunning park! Thank you for bringing us along, Teresa.
