This wasn’t meant to be a day of walking, but Jack had a specialist appointment in Frankston… so, lucky for me! We made the most of our time and walked from the beach into the town centre.

Because it was Monday, the beach was quiet, providing a peaceful start to our outing. Frankston sits between Melbourne and the peaceful seaside towns of the Mornington Peninsula. The suburb stretches from the coast towards its town centre.
Along the way, we crossed several bridges over its waterways, making it a perfect fit for Beth’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge this week, themed Bridges.

The bridges weren’t the only things that caught my eye. Sandy paths and waterways led us past an array of public art, while Frankston’s annual Mural Festival brings even more colour and creativity to its streets. Walls, buildings, and electric boxes are transformed into vibrant outdoor artworks, giving the suburb plenty of character.
Along the streets and shops are the vibrant colourful displays of Doors in Murals and Electric Boxes.

What began as a trip for an appointment became an unexpectedly enjoyable day of exploring.
What a wonderful way to get to an appointment. You always find the best street art, Teresa. I enjoyed tagging along with you guys. I think you know how much I love bridges. I know I’m supposed to be here for the doors (which are wonderful) but I love bridges.
