According to Wilipedia: St Francis’ Church is a Roman Catholic church located on the corner of Lonsdale and Elizabeth streets in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is the oldest Catholic church in the state. The main body of the church is one of very few buildings in central Melbourne which were built before the Victorian gold rush of 1851.

It is surrounded by modern buildings.

But for me, the highlight was the stunning stained-glass windows. Seeing them from inside, with the light shining through their vibrant colours, made them even more impressive.

I was especially drawn to this part of the church. The stunning stained-glass windows, ornate ceiling, and peaceful atmosphere made it feel truly special.

Fabulous windows Teresa.
Thanks for joining in Monday Window 😀
My pleasure to join.
Though peaceful, the general effect is also joyful and uplifting.
Those are just the exact words to describe it. Thanks Margaret.
