There’s something magical about mornings during the holiday season—everything feels quieter, softer, and full of possibility. I had such a wonderful time soaking in the festive moments, surrounded by warmth and joy.

As I reflect, I want to focus on gratitude. There were days when life felt heavier, and I wasn’t sure how I’d move forward.

But here I am, savouring the little things: the glow of morning light, the laughter of loved ones, and the comfort of traditions that ground me.

This season has reminded me to appreciate the present and hold onto the beauty of each passing day. Gratitude truly transforms everything.

After taking a short break from blogging, I’m back! These photos are from a quick getaway to Phillip Island in Victoria. While they may not be my best or favorite shots, this trip holds a special place in my heart. It was a time of pure simplicity—escaping the everyday, doing nothing in particular, and spending it all with someone who means the world to me (Jack, of course). That’s what made it one of my favorite moments.
And I am linking this to Xingfumama’s Whatsoever is Lovely, Johnbo’s Cellpic Sunday, to Patti’s Lens Artist Photo Challenge – LAPC and Jez’s Water Water Everywhere
It sounds perfect. A wonderful break in a beautiful place.
Thanks Mama. Sometimes we just need that short break to be able to charge back into life.
A good place to relax and unwind Teresa
I thought I have replied to this. Anyway, thanks Brian, it was a great feeling!
They might be uneventful but they are perfect moments.
That is true Arlene. Always close to the heart.
Your shots are perfect serenity… easy to see why they feature 😃 Thanks for sharing with my challenge 😊
Thanks so much Jez. Sorry I haven’t joined as much, but I try.
Talking about gratitude: Thanks for sharing your photos and your thoughts!
It is my great pleasure to share them with all of you.
I love how your story intertwines with your photos, Teresa! The holiday season is appropriately placed to provide a pick-me-up for the doldrums of winter in the northern hemisphere. Meanwhile those south of the equator are celebrating the return of summer. 🙂
Thanks Johnbo for seeing it from my point of view. Having winter and snowstorms in the middle of our 30 degree summer… what else can we ask for?
A lovely contemplative perspective Teresa, accompanied by as-always lovely images. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead
Cheers! And hoping for a wonderful 2025 to all of us. Thanks for your wonderful comment
