“Life is like walking on stairs; You have to take the first step to reach your destination.”
The guest host for this week’s Monochrome Madness is Aletta from “Now at Home” and she has the theme of STEPS AND STAIRS.
Here are some steps and stairs from my travels through the years. Let me start with the steps of the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.
Then the steps to the Opera House.
The Playfair steps in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Portugal is renowned for its vibrant cities, where stairs play a key role in the landscape. From the steep streets of Lisbon to the winding paths of Porto and the scenic climbs in Nazaré, stairs are integral to the charm and character of the country.
Where else can you find as many steps and stairs as in the hilly streets of Lisbon?
Another place to discover an abundance of stairs is in Nazaré, Portugal.
Sanctuary of Fatima in Portugal with its stairs.
And here are some stairs from the churches in Porto, Portugal.
And the steps in the medieval town of Obidos also in Portugal.
I’m completely worn out after tackling that lot, Teresa! What a fantastic gallery of steps!
You may be familiar with a lot of them Jo!
