There are days when you find yourself torn between staying home and setting out to travel. Staying home brings a sense of peace … the comfort of familiar walls, a warm cup of coffee while still in your pyjamas, and the gentle rhythm of daily life. It’s where you can rest, reflect, and feel grounded.
But then there’s the call to travel … that quiet whisper that urges you to step outside your comfort zone and experience the thrill of discovering new places you’ve never been. It’s about collecting moments that remind you how wide and beautiful the world really is.
Both choices are good. But what my heart is telling me now is to get ready and pack for our next adventure… to go out once more and seek whatsoever is lovely in the world.

I always feel that pull to go again, but my body says otherwise. It’s a balancing act, isn’t it?
Same here. To rest or to struggle in walking, that is the question haha
So where’s next Teresa, have you made plans or just in the thinking stage?
Alison, leaving in two days.
Looking forward to reading about where you’re going ..safe travels 🧳
Thanks Ali.
When you go travelling, how about going for a coffee in your pyjamas 😂
Haha that’s a great idea. Maybe one day you will see me walking the streets of Melbourne.
If you go to the USA, go to Walmart to get a coffee and fit right in with your pyjamas 😂
Ok, I can do that haha
Always home for me.
That’s always a good idea.
Oh – travel while you can!
I shall, thanks for the advise.
Your post made me think of this quote from the Wizard of Oz, “If I ever go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t look any further than my own backyard; because if it isn’t there, I never really lost it to begin with.”
Safe travels. Peace.
What a lovely quote. Something to think about.
Travel is wonderful, we learn so much about places and about ourselves, but the best part of a trip is coming back home.
Yes, the best of both worlds.
I know what you mean but for me travel is as important to my well-being as time spent at home 🙂 I’m glad you appear to be off on another trip and hope you have a great time – and share it all with us of course!
Of course, will do. I am just so scared of long flights, but aside from that all is exciting.
Go travel, don’t hesitate, store up memories for when you can no longer do it.
We shall see if I can still do it haha Sometimes just standing up is hard. Thanks Maris.
And, as winter settles in here, now is the time to stay in by the fire. Find creativity and quiet.
I feel that tug as well. I love your picture of the sun beams and warm wood floors.
