Venice in Monochrome

There’s no set theme for this week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge, so I’ve decided to feature monochrome shots from my travels.

Venice at night in monochrome feels timeless. The canals darken into mirrors, lights flicker softly, and every alley is etched in shadow. Without colour, the city becomes quieter.

Venice by day feels alive and luminous. Sunlight dances on the canals and on its domes.

I agree Teresa it is timeless in monochrome. I do really like that one of the domed rooftops.

Thanks Leanne. Those domes had me thinking of that time I was there up high and the bell suddenly rang. It was as if my eardrum broke haha

These photos really capture the atmosphere of Venice without the need for colour! I love that moody street lamp in the night group, and the first and last shots in the day time ones
