Special Moment

“You are not in the mountains. The mountains are in you.” – John Muir

I am a nostalgic and sensitive person and so with Tina’s topic of “Special Moments” I was tempted to talk about the special people in my life which is my family.

But…. change of plans!

I would rather feature a place that is quite like heaven. It has breathtaking views that no words are able to explain.

This is what I experienced upon seeing Mt Titlis… one special moment indeed!

… when the clouds meet the mountains …when the blues of the sky turns to be the blues of the waters.

I’m not sure if this is Mt. Titlis in Switzerland or not as you don’t say in your blog, but if it is, I share your love of that place. I’ve only ever been there though, while it was covered in snow so I can’t judge from the photographs if it’s the same place or not.

Yes Maris, it is, and I mentioned it somewhere that it is Mt Titlis. It is heavenly isn’t it?

It is in Switzerland, near Lucerne… I was so impressed by the wonderful landscape but the food was so bad haha I can still remember it very vividly, the good experience as well as the bad. Thanks for the comment Tina!

  4. Oh, what a wonderful place, Teresa. I love the mountains and lived in Grindelwald, Switzerland over one winter back in the mid-seventies, seeing this sort of beauty daily. Thanks for bringing that joy back.

Amazing, Teresa! I haven’t visited this mountain, but have been to Switzerland several times as my husband’s sister lives there with her family. It is breathtakingly beautiful – everywhere. I think I can agree about the food though…
