Special Moment

“You are not in the mountains. The mountains are in you.” – John Muir

I am a nostalgic and sensitive person and so with Tina’s topic of “Special Moments” I was tempted to talk about the special people in my life which is my family.

But…. change of plans!

I would rather feature a place that is quite like heaven. It has breathtaking views that no words are able to explain.

This is what I experienced upon seeing Mt Titlis… one special moment indeed!

… when the clouds meet the mountains …when the blues of the sky turns to be the blues of the waters.

I’m not sure if this is Mt. Titlis in Switzerland or not as you don’t say in your blog, but if it is, I share your love of that place. I’ve only ever been there though, while it was covered in snow so I can’t judge from the photographs if it’s the same place or not.

    1. Teresa says:

Yes Maris, it is, and I mentioned it somewhere that it is Mt Titlis. It is heavenly isn’t it?

  2. Raven says:

What an incredibly beautiful spot Teresa, thanks so much for sharing it with us. I’d never heard of it before. Your images show your love of it’s majesty

    1. Teresa says:

It is in Switzerland, near Lucerne… I was so impressed by the wonderful landscape but the food was so bad haha I can still remember it very vividly, the good experience as well as the bad. Thanks for the comment Tina!

  4. Oh, what a wonderful place, Teresa. I love the mountains and lived in Grindelwald, Switzerland over one winter back in the mid-seventies, seeing this sort of beauty daily. Thanks for bringing that joy back.

    1. Teresa says:

Wow Janet, that would have been a lot of fun living there and waking up with that kind of view! Amazing!!!

      1. I saw the Eiger from my window every day. It was an awesome view, as were yours.

        1. Teresa says:

But I saw Titlis just once in my lifetime…but you lived there for a year!

          1. Well, over the winter, but long enough. :_)

  5. Mt Titlis in Switzerland is beautiful, Teresa. We were going to visit Switzerland this year but of course, we couldn’t go. Thank you for sharing your special moment!

    1. Teresa says:

Maybe soon Miriam…after all the vaccine has been rolled out!

      1. We have two other places lined up. So Switzerland will wait for two years.

        1. Teresa says:

Haha i have places listed down too. We are just all waiting.

          1. I booked a trip to Canada in August. The flight and the hotel reservations went through but the boarder is still closed. Will see what happen.

Amazing, Teresa! I haven’t visited this mountain, but have been to Switzerland several times as my husband’s sister lives there with her family. It is breathtakingly beautiful – everywhere. I think I can agree about the food though…

    1. Teresa says:

We didn’t stay there for long, it was just a day trip. But still… I was so amazed by the awesome landscape. Oh Gosh, about the food…so you agree with me?

      1. Leya says:

        Hehe, well, no culinary top…
