Quotes Inspired by Unforgettable Times

I don’t usually write with quotes in my blog, but this week is different. Ann-Christine has invited us to focus on quotes, letting them lead us to some of our favourite images.

“And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.” — John Muir

One autumn day in the Dandenong Ranges, 2021.
Jack and I would usually search for the best spots to find autumn leaves. This particular day wasn’t one of the most vibrant, but the way the light filtered through these trees made all the difference. Sometimes, it’s not the season at its peak—but the moment—that makes it memorable.

“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” — Lady Bird Johnson

On one of my walks to the wetlands during the 2020 pandemic, I found a quiet kind of peace in nature. Along the way, these delicate Pansies caught my eye … small, vibrant reminders that life continues to bloom even in uncertain times.

“When you are at peace, you attract peaceful reflections.” — Wayne Dyer

With my sister, niece, and nephew, we rafted across Laguna, coconut drinks in hand… gliding through calm waters and peaceful reflections.

“We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.” — A. A. Milne

Simple days like this at Lysterfield Lake, with my favourite people, are the ones that matter most.

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” — Audrey Hepburn

A recent trip to Dauin, Philippines brought us to Pulangbato Falls—where time with family became the most precious part of the journey.

Great choice of quotes to accompany your shots Teresa 🙂 The John Muir one is a favourite of mine but it’s your last two that really capture the spirit of your blog. I especially like the one from A. A. Milne and may pinch that to use in the future myself!
