Green Foliage

“In every change, in every falling leaf there is some pain, some beauty. And that’s the way new leaves grow.” – Amit Ray

I had just finished watching a travel show and it made me think. After more than a year of the pandemic there’s this question running through my mind. Would travel ever be fun and exciting again?

That also got me thinking of what to put as an entry for Cee’s CFFC challenge – Green Foliage … here are some from my travels a few years ago.

First one that came to mind is this tree and how its foliage has a distinct formation. This is a tree lined street in Burgos, Spain.

I am not really into manicured gardens and topiaries… but this garden of the Chateau Royal d’Amboise in France is simply magnificent. See the shrubs’ foliage perfectly shaped as balls?

What lush greeneries as also seen in its reflection in Pandin Lake in San Pablo City, Philippines.

It was autumn when we went to Budapest, so the trees in this gallery were looking very different with its bright green foliage. This is the Koller Gallery, the oldest private gallery in Hungary, situated in the Castle District of Budapest.

Trees shaped like upside down ice cream cones in the garden of The Palace of Versailles in northern France.

Beautiful island with tall trees as seen during a River Cruise in Lucerne, Switzerland.

This last one are Weeping Willows in the Wilson’s Botanical Gardens in Berwick … a suburb in the southeast of Melbourne. Not from an overseas trip, but I just find the foliage of this tree looking so soft and light and flowing, so I decided to add it here.

Gorgeous. The topiary garden looks totally artificial, i.e. computer enhanced.
