“Steer me to an autumn path to travel all alone. Fall leaves the finest company; rustling in my heart like home.” – Anonymous
Yesterday was a gorgeous day for a stroll in Mount Dandenong. As the leaves were falling on the quiet path that I wash taking … the leaves of ochre, brown, red and yellow were shimmering and I felt at home.

Amidst the manicured gardens of the Cloudehill Gardens in Monbulk Road in Olinda, you can see this sculpture by Mimovich Leopoldine which was carved from Huon Pine. Such beautiful delicate details of 3 female faces.
The garden seat that is located near the entry point with an excellent view of the garden. The details of the arm of the bench is quite extraordinary.
Ceramic details of man on one of the walls in the garden. Seems scary.
And these succulents … such simple products of nature but what beautiful details it has.
I think that this pot is made of clay and definitely is not lacking in details.
Only a few minutes drive from Cloudehill Gardens and Nursery is the Alfred Nicholas Gardens. This is known as the Sunken Garden and here you can see the details of the two cranes made of brass.
And finally…what amazing details in nature.
Beautiful colours
Thanks so much Ali..It is a wonderful and beautiful time in here.
Maybe I’ll see it sometime this year!
The beauty is in the details.

Lovely tour of the beautiful gardens Teresa – and you are so right, the beauty is in the details – as well as the big picture! I must admit my favorite set of images is your collection from nature at the end of your post. What could be better than that?!

Wow… these colorful leaves are incredibly beautiful. Such a beautiful garden!
It wasn’t a very big place so I was surprised to have captured so much beauty on it too. Thanks Amy.
I love the colors of autumn as much as the colors of spring. The march of the seasons is always beautiful.
So does the capture of snow…but we don’t have snow here. But this is the first year that I have captured so much autumn photos so I am a happy girl! Thanks Dan!
