There’s no set theme for this week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge, so I’ve decided to feature monochrome shots from my travels.
This is Burano, a colourful island town in the Venetian Lagoon, just north of Venice, renowned for its brightly painted houses and peaceful canals. Yet, when captured in monochrome, its familiar vibrancy quietly fades. In its place emerges a different kind of beauty…one shaped by light and shadow, texture and contrast.
