A walk in the Montalto Winery

We went on a short getaway last April to Rye and on our way home we had lunch at the Montalto Winery in Red Hill. This is a late post and I just didn’t get the chance to write about this.

Anyway, the winery is located in Red Hill, a small town on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, approximately 63 km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD.

We went there for lunch at this wonderful outdoor setting on a beautiful sunny day.

This place is known for its sculptures around the grounds so off we went after lunch to shed off those extra kilos on our bellies.

Aside from the winery, there are 30 permanent sculptures on the Sculpture Trail throughout Montalto … amongst the vines

… amongst the wetlands

As usual, we didn’t pass on these photo ops.

And of course there should be somewhere to sit and rest.

And here’s one sculpture that I wanted to try but I guess my legs are too short to reach.
