Last Wednesday, I opted not to attend my morning swimming class and just go to a gallery instead. Well, why not?
Went to the local Bunjil Place to see the work of Sydney-based artist Rosie Deacon. She is well known for her exuberant sculptural installations,
This exhibit is created specifically for Bunjil Place Gallery. SPAGHETTI-STACK-SNUFFLE-SHUFFLE features materials and textures that are familiar to everyday life and is a mixture of art and craft and contemporary art.
At the entrance is this colourful, sitting Koala. (Xingfumama’s Pull Up a SeatChallenge)
Entry way…
More Koalas (Natalie’s Photographing Public Art Challenge – PPAC)
Materials from local op shops and art disposal centres.
There is this larger-than-life hanging Parrot Earrings? Just love it!
Stacks of colourful pillows… would be lovely to lie down on them.
More animals…hanging bird and koala
Inspired by 1980s YouTube aerobics championships and morning television show Aerobics Oz Style.
Before leaving I see the sitting Koala’s backside.
And of course a cup of hot chocolate before my dentist’s appointment.
I like colourful but I’d only go in there with my shades on. It’s a bit overwhelming.
That’s so true… didn’t know where to look first, everything is grabbing my attention hehe
So colorful! How are you Techie?
I’m ok, Arlene. Thanks for asking. Yes, so colourful 😍
Uuwi ako sa Pinas sa 13th of Feb. sana ok naman at hopefully safe.

A fun post Teresa 🙂
Thanks glad you liked it, Brian!
Very interesting place! I really liked the pillows. I can never have enough of them. Those parrot earrings are pretty cool, too. 🙂
The artist was so creative being able to use these simple things and have made it to a very creative final output. Glad you liked it.
Aside from the Koala, I love that yellow earrings as well.
🙂 🙂
Some people are just so creative
Such a colourful gallery.
Hot chocolate before the dentist’s 😂
Teresa, What a colourful and fun exhibit. I love to see koalas as we don’t have them in Canada. Thank you for your PPAC contribution.
Yes, koalas are such cute creatures. Glad you liked my very bright contribution.
Oh what bright fun festive colors 😀 😀
Yes very bright. You better have your sunglasses on!
So many pom-poms! That is a very colorful and cheerful art installation. That cocoa looks super yummy as well.
So bright, I didn’t expect that when I entered the gallery. But it was very creative.
Wondrous exuberance!
Thanks, definitely is ❤️
The group of koalas looks like they’re made out of paper mache.
Yes Julie, it is a very tall paper mache of a Koala. Thanks for the visit.
😁 Fun gallery to see. Of course, a cup of hot chocolate before the dentist! 😆
Thanks for stopping by.
Wow parang fiesta! The last photograph of the giant sitting koala, were those knitted wool?
They’re pompoms.
