When my sister came to Melbourne for a visit, of course we had to take them to the Twelve Apostles. On the way, we stayed the night in Apollo Bay. Here we discovered Apollo Bay’s wooden sculptures, showcasing local artists’ talent.
This is a permanent exhibition of wooden sculptures along the Apollo Bay Foreshore. This has become an iconic feature of the town.

The colours of the sculptures against the trees and the sky. It all males a great statement.
Glad you think so Bernie. Thanks for the lovely comment.
aren’t these wonderful, and what amazing wood
Yes, I know…. Lucky that we passed by it by chance.
Oh I say. These are splendid!
Thanks Margaret. I think so too!
I especially like the ones with faces!
They are great, if I should say so myself! It shows the emotions.
What kind of wood are they? It’s a lovely colour.
Oh sorry, that I don’t know
These are great!
A surprise find 👍
The sculptures have beautiful lines. Love how the artists went with the flow of the tree shapes. It’s great that they have benches that go well with the carved sculptures.
It is a great public area with everything you need. There is even a playground.
