I hadn’t originally planned any activities for my sister and niece on their first day in Melbourne, but it turned into quite a busy day.
We ended up heading to Frankston beach to admire the stunning wall art from the recently concluded 2024 Big Picture Fest. I am linking this to Natalie’s Photographing Public Art Challenge – PPAC.

Here are some of the incredible pieces we came across.

Graffiti/mural artist JEKS, has made a name for himself globally with his realistic monochromatic and full color portraits. This one is on Park Lane, Frankston
Marcus Debie aka GOMAD, born in 1972, is a graffiti artist and muralist from the Netherlands. This one can be seen in Park Row, Frankston.
Calum is a 27 year old, Australian artist. He moved to Sydney as a semi-professional cricketer and is now doing art. You can see Calum’s artwork for the 2024 Big Picture Fest on Station Street, Frankston.
We took a leisurely stroll through the streets, hunting down 11 pieces of this year’s wall art, and unexpectedly stumbled upon additional pieces from last year’s collection. It turned into quite a lengthy walk!
Oh and I almost forgot to mention… saw some benches and chairs along the way.

And just in time for the sunset at the pier and dinner.
It was an absolutely wonderful day spent catching up with family—though a bit tiring, it was filled with laughter and joy!
Teresa, The murals are all amazing. I think my favourite is the first one. Thank you for your PPAC contribution. Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
Have a great Easter too, Natalie. Glad you liked that one.
That is amazing street art. Loved the one of the woman seeming to be swallowing the car 🤭
Haha it really looks like it.
Such complex and beautiful works, Teresa. Love them all but maybe Jeks is a favourite. Happy Easter!
Yep, that Jeks one is intense. Have a great Easter as well, Jo!
Thanks darlin 🤗🐰🐣🌸
Stunning street art!
Thanks so much Margaret. There’s a lot to see in that area because for a few years now, they have added every year.
Fabulous murals! I love the one by Bronik too, also JEKS, GOMAD and Calum 😀
Glad you liked them, Sarah.
Fun post. I love the bright colors.
About the ping backs: I found that, for some reason, they were putting your ping backs into my spam folder. I approved them all and am hoping that will train the system to know that you are a good one. It looks to me like it started when they switched to the AI assist thing, which I haven’t figured out how to turn off. I’ll double check my spam folder more often so this won’t happen again.
Haha I was just wondering and thanks for looking into it. Also thanks… glad you liked my very bright chairs.
They’re just gorgeous!
Thanks a lot ❤️
Some of those murals are spectacular. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked them, Max!
Wonderful post, and some outstanding murals. It is funny how distinctive South American art is – the Peruvian piece is very different.
That’s why I love it. There’s something distinct about it. Thanks for commenting.
Brilliant Teresa, I love the street art. Looks like you had a fab day with your sister.
I did. Thanks Alison, feeling tired now.
Gorgeous art works! What a pleasure it must be to discover all these murals 😀.
Getting lost at times but it was great. Thanks PR.
