Tuesday Streetart: Riverside – 100

CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND

Christchurch is such a great city for walking, and what makes it even better are all the murals you spot along the way. When I was wandering near Riverside Market, I came across what I thought was an old vintage building. But when I looked closer, I realised the whole thing was actually a mural! It was painted to remember the historic buildings lost in the earthquake. These days, the place is full of little shops and a lively farmers market, which makes it such a fun spot to explore.

Facilitated by OiYOU! Street Art, the work was executed by members of the DTR crew, Dcypher, Wongi ‘Freak’ Wilson, Jacob Yikes and Ikarus over a period of 6 weeks.

It really does. I had to look at it twice or thrice. Thanks Sarah.

For sure. But I don’t think my photos show much of its beauty.
