“Sometimes you just got to find an old dirt road and go where it takes you.” – unknown
London has now reopened post pandemic (jealous!) Tim and Leigh (my son and daughter in law) decided to go for a few days away to the country roads of Dungeness. These photos are from Tim’s lens and he shared it on our family chat. Just in time to share it with all of you. Enjoy.
For Lens Artist Photo Challenge- Along the Coastal Country Roads
Dungeness looks fascinating with its unique scenery. It is industrial but also natural, coastal and secluded.
Dungeness lies at the southernmost point of Kent and this is the current lighthouse that started operation on 20 November 1961.
‘Paradise haunts gardens…and it haunts mine.’ – writes Derek Jarman
This is the Prospect Cottage with sculptures along the shore… purchased in 1986 by director and artist, Derek Jarman and was his home until his death on 1994.
