Nothing wrong with doing simple things

“There’s nothing wrong with doing simple things.” – PCoelho

Double dipping with challenges is not a new thing for me. In fact, I consider it as part of my personal challenges … combining as many challenges in one post.

So, here I go with challenges dipped all together…

Lens Artist Photo Challenge,, Photographing Public Art Challenge, Six Word Saturday, Jo’s Monday Walk, Some may be late and some came in too early…

Before the year 2021 ended, I went to the Heide Museum of Modern Art with my family. It was the first time that I have been to this place and we spent a quite few hours there relaxing and enjoying the simple things in life like the outdoors, sunshine, nature and art.

Hidden away in the suburb of Bulleen, a few minutes away from Melbourne CBD, is the beautiful grounds filled with sculptures and three buildings housing the art exhibitions. It is a great place for a picnic, or a stroll among the trees.

Now let me take you for a walk through the main entrance into the museum.

This is the first main building which contained sculptures, wooden carvings, photography and architecture exhibits.

The next building shows where everything began in the ‘30s. The Heide is more than a museum, it tells of stories of the people that lived in it.

Some magnificent modern sculptures scattered around the 16 acres of parkland.

These cows are my favourite.

Modern art form of chairs…

Pull Up a Seat Challenge

On the grounds are some doors through to the gardens, to the shed and to the doll house.

Thursday Doors Challenge

Now we reach the small wooden cottage which was the original residence of John and Sunday Reed, but is now filled with exhibits of art pieces and old books and where talks and symposiums are being held.

Saw a hidden wooden gate and inside was this beautiful garden.

Fascinating place, Teresa, and perfect finger nails! I really like the guy reaching up, mirroring the blue artpiece on the wall too. And at least those cows won’t eat the flowers! Many thanks for including me. Hope you’re having a good week.

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful collection of exhibits – and doors – Teresa. This was fun. I like the cows, the stately galleries and the metal sculptures that remind me of my Erector Set, but I like the mural with the cats the best. Thanks for sharing with Thursday Doors.

    1. Teresa says:

Glad you liked the one with the cats. These are printing on tiles.

Very well done Teresa – and good on you (as the Aussies would say) for multi-dipping as a norm! The cows are my favorite too but what a marvelous place filled with interesting things!

    1. Teresa says:

Haha great to know some Aussie slang, “Good on ya.” Yes, truly a great place to relax.

  16. XingfuMama says:

The chairs look interesting…but I’m not sure I’d take a chance on sitting on them!

    1. Teresa says:

I don’t think you’re allowed anyway 😂😂 Thanks for the comment Mama.

  17. Marsha says:

Teresa, these are all such cool art pieces for PPAC – and they fit the other challenges as well. I love how colorful some of them are. Of course, who couldn’t love the cows? And what is that metal art? I love rusty metal for some reason. I can’t quite tell what it is, though. Super post for this week!

    1. Teresa says:

I don’t know what the metal art is too. I guess that’s modern art for you. Glad you came along with me on my walk.

      1. Marsha says:

I’m glad I came along too! I call metal art anything made of metal. Lots of time it’s art made from scraps or rusty metal.
