I noticed a building on Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, with distinctive round-ish front windows that immediately caught my eye. Upon closer inspection, I realized that even the hexagonal side windows add to its unique charm.
I found out later on that it is Australia’s first LGBTQI pride centre. The Victorian Pride Centre was built by Hansen Yuncken and designed by Grant Amon Architects and Brearley Architects & Urbanists. The centre was officially opened in July 2021.
