Melbourne’s laneways are alive with colour, where murals spill across doors and walls. In Hosier Lane, the art shifts constantly—fresh paint layered over what came before. It’s the classic spot to show off to visitors from overseas. But wander a little further, and you’ll find other laneways that feel even more vibrant and full of surprises.

This is AC/DC Lane, named in tribute to the legendary Australian rock band. Unlike the ever-changing walls of Hosier Lane, some murals here remain for years, standing strong as bold icons in Melbourne’s street art scene.

What a vibrant street scene!
Vibrant indeed. That is Melbourne.
One of my favourite lanes 😍
Yay!
They are lovely. Must be a treat to see a new one every now and then.
Yes, so I cannot miss this lane everytime I visit the city in hopes to find something new. Thanks I.J.
Street art and doors – deep joy. Thank you.
Yes, you and me both feeling joy!
I love this post, Teresa. I love seeing pictures of street art. We don’t have much in our area (I’m a little jealous).
Oh yes we have so much here, spoiled for choice I guess. Thanks Dan.
So bright and cheerful, and it’s great that the murals stay in place a bit longer after all the work that goes into them.
Maybe some of them are so high up that it is hard to paint over them. Thanks for the comment Sarah.
Wow, great examples of mural doors. Thanks for sharing them.
My pleasure Rebecca, glad you liked them.
I can never say enough good things about street art and murals. I enjoy seeing the vibrant creativity. Love these great photos and artwork. I like the firedoor piece…superb colors. Great share. Thank you.
It sounds like you really love streetart as much as I do. Thanks Suzette
Yes indeed. Thanks Teresa. Blessings to you.

Thanks Brenda. I definitely love vivid and colourful finds.
