Man at Work

“So much of who we are is where we have been.” – William Langewiesche

The bronze statue of Cumil (The Watcher) is quite popular to locals as well as visitors to Bratislava, Slovakia. This sculpture is known as “Man at Work” is by Viktor Hulik.

No one knows exactly what this man is doing… some say he is a representation of the laziness of the Slovaks, some would see him as a sewer worker, but the tour director told us that he is just an ordinary “Peeping Tom”. (Well who knows what the true version is).
