Lockdown 6.0

It is a sad day again… Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state today, so after just about a week of freedom, Melbourne and the whole of Victoria is back into lockdown. We are now into our 6th lockdown from 8 pm (that’s less than an hour to go). The health ministers says that with the Delta variant it is Short-Sharp-Hard Lockdown is the way to go!

This was taken last weekend when I and Pat went out to celebrate Jack’s birthday.

Hi Teresa, we’re also going on hard lockdown in Metro Manila starting tonight. Same reason. Hope things don’t escalate. Keep safe!

    1. Teresa says:

Oh… do keep safe too, Nes! Ours is for 7 days, hopefully after that we will be ok.

I live in a US state that refuses to lock down and doesn’t like restrictions. It is minds that are locked and lock out what is needed.
    It boggles the mind.

    1. Teresa says:

Just different approaches from different leaders, I guess. Lucky if it works!

It never stops does it..have you had your jabs yet Teresa? I can’t remember if I asked you that already 🤔

    1. Teresa says:

I know…it just comes and goes. I think you asked me when I didn’t have it yet. Now my second jab is still at the end of this month.

      1. Alison says:

Well you’re nearly there well done 🥰

  4. Take care my friend

        1. Teresa says:

Oh no, not yet. Give it a week more and we will know.

          1. I get it.
            Stay safe my friend.

Sorry to hear that Teresa. Watching from the UK it seems a amazing that you lock down for just eight cases, when we have thousands and yet few restrictions! But our vaccinatito be working be working and case numbers falling despite opening up – fingers crossed. I hope things improve for you soon.

    1. Teresa says:

We are definitely watching UK too from here. My son was telling me that too that cases are falling and no deaths. So good on you. The problem here is we are not fully vaccinated…only less than 20%are. So some states, even just one case they shut the borders and have a lockdown. Really uncertain times for us. Be safe too Sarah!

      1. Toonsarah says:

Yes, vaccination is definitely key. You’ll get there eventually I’m sure!

        1. Teresa says:

It’s looking kinda unsure…but sure hope so.

  6. Mukhang malapit mag-lockdown dito rin

    1. Teresa says:

Oh noooo. I thought you are doing ok. Ingat kayo diyan!

  7. picpholio says:

So sad to hear… We in Belgium have a new variant (not “delta) Some older people passed away who where completely vaccinated !

    1. Teresa says:

I am hearing about that. That’s another scary one huh! When will it ever end?

  8. arlene says:

We are on lockdown for two weeks starting today.

    1. Teresa says:

Ay oo nga! Marami bang vaccinated na diyan? Ingat lang always. Pano si apo, di mo na naman makikita.?

      1. arlene says:

Mga 10M pa lang yata. No vaccine, they rely on donation. Billion ang inutang para doon. Sad ano?

      2. arlene says:

Since last week of March, hindi pa kami nagkikita.
