Just a Lucky Shot

on

The Lens Artist Photo Challenge this week is being hosted by Sofia and the theme is Lucky Shot. Sorry if you have seen some of these photos before but I had to use them again for the topic

For me, sunburst shots always feel like pure luck. They happen in a split second…just a slight move, a shift in light, and suddenly the sun peeks through perfectly to create that burst. I don’t always plan for it, and that’s what makes it feel even more special.

Clouds and rainbows feel even more like fleeting gifts to me … beautiful, unpredictable, and impossible to fully control.

Birds, to me, are a perfect mix of patience and luck in photography. They rarely stay still. Just as I frame the shot, they move. But sometimes, in a split second, everything aligns and I capture something beautiful. It’s that unpredictability, the sudden flight, a pause on a fence, that makes it feel so alive and special.

These clouds and their reflections on the water felt like one of my lucky shots while I was crossing the wetlands. One of those quiet moments where everything just drifted perfectly.

Oh yes, these are all great shots which prove we really have to have our camera with us at all times, or Miss the Moment.

That is true Margaret, don’t ever leave the house without your camera or even a phone is good enough.

These are beautiful “light from heaven” shots!
I agree birds can be unpredictable; still you managed to get some beautiful captures.

I so agree with what you say about bird photography, and your examples are all excellent illustrations of that! I love that threesome in particular, their heads so perfectly placed 🙂

  4. Incredible lucky shots! Birds are always a challenge but you captured these birds beautifully. I love the sunbursts, clouds and rainbows, too.
