Goodbye London

“Still round the corner, there may wait, a new road or a secret gate.” – J. R. R. Tolkien

Walked around and we saw some architecture that is really so Londonish. Is there even such a word?

Passed by the Shard which looks so amazing when seen in close up. You cannot miss this building, with its unique architectural shape, it is the tallest building in the United Kingdom and the seventh tallest building in Europe.

Right close to the Shard is the Borough Market which is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London. It dates back to the 12th century and is now renowned for its food and drinks market.

Last stop is the Tate Modern. Tate Modern is a free museum of modern and contemporary art located in London Borough of Southwark. It is Britain’s national gallery and forms part of the Tate group.

It was still early when we finished off our day because we had to pack our luggages to get ready for the next part of our tour.
