Framing the Shot

In this digital age, I’ve become more spontaneous with my photography. Whether I’m traveling or simply walking around, I capture whatever catches my eye in the moment. I don’t always think about the rules of photography—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

For this week’s challenge from Patti, the theme is framing the shot. Here are some of my attempts. A few were intentional, but others turned out to be unexpected little surprises—and those are often my favorites. All taken from a recent trip to Vietnam… in Sapa and Da Nang.

As Patti mentioned, photos also explore different layers of composition, with elements in the foreground, middle ground, and background coming together to frame each scene.

Some fine examples here – though as a nicely bucolic scene I’m especially drawn to the last one.

These all work very well Teresa 🙂 I especially like the New Year shot from Vietnam, the Phillips Island one and Dandenong Ranges. And I’m glad to see I’m not the only person who went beyond the three photo limit!
