This week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge focuses on Winter, and I’m thrilled to see stunning winter photos from around the world. While it’s undeniably beautiful to look at, I imagine it’s not as enjoyable when you have to live through it every single day!
Since I don’t get to experience a white Christmas, and winters in Melbourne are rather ordinary—just cold—I thought I’d share some photos my son sent me from London. It doesn’t snow much where he lives either, but occasionally, it does. These are his footsteps in the snow, captured back in 2018 (if I remember correctly).
Beautiful photos of London winter.
Clever idea, footsteps (bootsteps?.) in the snow.
Oh yeah I guess bootsteps seems more appropriate haha
You know my verdict, Teresa. Your son is very welcome to keep it!
I know. That’s what I don’t like about London… the gloomy weather.
I also saw Sarah’s photo of a London park in the snow. I thought London had more snow than it does. I’d guess it doesn’t stay around long, either.
Yup, my son said this year it melted straight away
That’s the kind of snow we get here too. Lasts for a few hours but before it goes, disrupts everything. Lovely photos, tho, it is nice too, if you don’t have to go to work!
I guess not working and seeing the snow is great 👍
Two right feet in the first footprint picture!
Haha I noticed that too. Was the person hopping or what?
Beautiful to look at indeed. I hate driving in the snow, pretty scary.
Hmmm that’s another “con” of snow!
