“AUTUMN is a second SPRING, when every LEAF is a FLOWER.” – Albert Camus
Spring is a magical season… but it comes to us, the opposite of the rest of the world. While for Amy and to most of you, the flowers of spring are slowly bursting brightly …. the green leaves are now becoming golden and red in my part of the world.
And as my chosen quote says, I have decided to post about the bright autumn leaves that I took photos of, during my family’s short getaway in Castlemaine in Victoria. While everybody is soaking wet in Melbourne, Pat, Jack and I had the great autumn sun in a Vineyard.

Oh, how I love the second spring! This is a colorful season where you are. I love the changing colors of fall. Thank you for the Vineyard tour. Beautiful selections, Teresa!
Maybe I will be posting more from our mini holiday here in our own state, soon! Thanks for liking my second spring! 👍🏼
That would be cool! 🙂
Teresa, what gorgeous grape leaves. The red one is superb. 🙂
Thanks Marsha… It is getting to be deep red now!
The deep red is so gorgeous, Teresa. 🙂
Thanks Marsha, I chose the perfect destination for our mini holiday with the fam.
Where were these taken? Did I miss that? They remind me so much of Central California that I got homesick. Here is a post I wrote years ago that your pictures reminded me of. https://tchistorygal.net/2012/12/06/the-end-of-fall/
Saw the link and your photos are gorgeous. Yes, I mentioned at the top that it was taken from my family’s short getaway in Castlemaine in Victoria. The whole of Australia is being encouraged to take holidays in our “own backyard”.
I read too fast and retain too little. Sorry!!! It’s funny how far away places can remind you of home.
I know. But that is the main purpose of photos… a reminder of things and experiences from wonderful memories. Thanks Marsha.
Yes, it it, Teresa. I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful photos. 🙂
Thanks Marsha.
🙂
oh these are so very lovely 🙂 gorgeous light, wonderful portrait and now i am thinking of all the wine too!!
Oh yes…the wine is the best!
A lovely post Teresa – and yes, April looks VERY different depending on where you are in the world! Vineyards are one of my favorite photography subject and your post shows exactly why! Loved the beautiful colors and shapes – well done!
Thanks so much Tina for your lovely comment. I was already looking for photos from last year’s spring when I thought… why do I have to look far when I can post photos from where I am now. So here you go! Have a good day, Tina!
Ohh, that red leaf 🍁 is stunning 😍
Thanks a lot Rita. It really does stand out!
Beautiful. Spring is autumn is spring… And why isn’t the map and South Pole at the top. Down Unders aren’t standing upside down! Perhaps it’s just who voted first. I’m clueless. (No surprise.)
You are making me dizzy, John….nut I guess you are correct!
😂
Fab colours! 🙂 🙂
Thanks Jo! I am loving it here…I could stay longer but gotta go in a few hours.
Wonderful variety of perspectives! Also a great quote to honor Autumn.
Thanks Donna!
Lovely colours of the month. What a variety across the world
Thanks I.J. definitely across the globe we are!
What beautiful, rich autumn colors, Teresa. I was actually thinking of our friends in Australia who are entering fall as we’re writing about spring!! You’re right. Autumn is another colorful season that we should celebrate.
Two colourful seasons…Thanks Patti for the wonderful comment!
Just lovely!
Thanks, happy that you liked them, Ann- Christine!
