I love photographing bridges, so I’m excited about Leanne’s challenge this week! Traveling over a bridge always feels like stepping into a new adventure. One of my favorites is the iconic CityLink-Tullamarine tube in Melbourne. Its vibrant colors catch the eye and make it a landmark that everyone notices on their way to the airport. Every time we approach this bridge, it signals that our journey is almost at an end and that the adventure is about to begin.
Bridges are amazing structures that connect different places and cultures.
Whether it’s the Ponte Vecchio in Florence or the Charles Bridge in Prague or one of the wooden bridges of Burano or the artistic La Salve Bridge in Bilbao…each bridge has its own story.

One of the best ways to experience a city is from the water on a river cruise. As we glide under bridges in the canals of Amsterdam or along the Douro River or the River Seine or the Vltava, each crossing feels like a new chapter in our adventure. These moments allow us to pause, soak in the scenery, and reflect on our journey, revealing hidden gems and fresh perspectives.
Like you, I love a good bridge. You have some great examples here – though I can’t recognise them all.
I posted it previously without any description. However, now I have put captions so maybe now you will recognise where the bridges are from.
Just going to have a good look. Thanks.
Um, as it happens, I still only know a very few.
Haha oh well.
Note to self. Plug the gaps!
Great collection of many bridges Teresa.
Thanks Leanne ❤️

Welcome
Wonderful bridges Teresa
I enjoyed the way you’ve mixed old and new bridges here, and including some seen from below is a great idea!
Thanks Sarah glad you liked it.
