I’ve been to Cloudehill Gardens & Nursery in Olinda more times than I can count— with my sister on holiday, after brunch with hubby, and even with my two besties. This time, it was my brother-in-law’s turn while he’s visiting from the Philippines. I almost forgot to post about this walk which was already about two months ago now!
Here’s a little collection (linking it to 6 challenges) from that leisurely stroll—benches, doors, bursts of red flowers, and a bit of public art along the way. Same garden, always something new.
The first spot we walked through was succulents, grasses and tough little plants—always love how cool they look.

This door, slightly ajar, felt so inviting, like it was opening into my own secret garden. If only it really was mine—haha, one can dream!

On the left, different benches caught my eye—no two quite the same.

Vibrant red flowers and crisp autumn leaves pop against the greenery.

Here are a few sculptures of Influential Australian Women by Graeme Foote

Lowitie (Lois) G Donoghue – She continues to work on Indigenous human rights issues, including health, housing, community development and land rights.
Stephane Aierander- Her legacy blends serious culinary artistry with joyful, practical food education—shaping tastes, habits, and communities across the nation
Christina Nixon- the first female Chief Commissioner in Australia – a bold leader who reshaped Victoria Police and stood resilient through bushfires and corruption.,
There’s something I love about this vibrant red pot and terracotta sculptures.

Paths took us through to different areas of the gardens.

Then there are these delicately designed metal doors .

The exit is marked by an archway, with a sculpture standing nearby as if to see us off.

It really is a fabulous place, Teresa. I particularly like those Autumn reds. But just think- if it was yours, you’d have a lot of gardening to do! Thanks, sweetheart! xx
That’s a good point. Maybe I will just hire a gardener. Haha Thanks Jo.

Definitely great to have one like that but on second thought, I wouldn’t have the energy to maintain it. Haha thanks Dan.
