When I think about harmony, I picture the peaceful surroundings of the wetland in my local area. The photographs I have here, capture how different elements of nature … water, trees, grasses, birds, and sky—come together to create a sense of balance, connection, and calm. Each element has its own place, yet they work together to form a peaceful and harmonious environment.

The gentle ripples in the water and the movement of the Black Swan show how wildlife naturally becomes part of the landscape.

The warm golden light reflects across the water and blends with the silhouettes of the trees and surrounding vegetation. The colours and reflections work together to create a peaceful atmosphere..

The photograph of the boardwalk also shows harmony between the natural environment and the human-made structure.

The plants and flowers of the wetland also contribute to this sense of harmony. The grasses, reeds and other wetland plants grow naturally around the water, creating a connection between the land and the lake.

Photography allows me to capture these moments and appreciate the balance and beauty of the wetland. For Anne-Christine’s Lens Artist Photo Challenge with the theme of HARMONY.

I enjoyed your thoughts on Harmony – your narrative and images tell a compelling story. I am particularly taken by your capture of the Black Swan – the feathers look so velvety I can almost reach out …
Thanks so much for your thoughts Ju-Lyn. I love taking photos of the swans here. Makes me smile.
I love that black swan, he’s beautiful.
Thanks Eunice . Two votes for the swan haha
Love the peacefulness of those opening scenes, Teresa xx
It is indeed very peaceful. Just a casual photo from my walk with my phone.
Beautiful displays of harmony. 🙂
Those wetlands look like a lovely example of a place that feels tranquil and harmonious, especially seeing the restrained impact of the human elements like the boardwalks 🙂
