Summer Daze in Melbourne

Summer makes me happy. It may not be my favourite season, but it always gives me something to look forward to. The longer days, warm sunshine, and blue skies encourage me to spend more time outdoors and enjoy the beauty of Melbourne.

Whether I’m taking a long walk along the Phillip Island Beach,

Wandering through the peaceful paths of the Wilson Botanic Gardens,

Enjoying a coffee at an outdoor café in Sassafras.

Or joining a Zumba class in the park.

It’s also the season of togetherness. I look forward to celebrating Christmas with my family,

Sharing Christmas parties with friends,

And admiring the festive decorations that bring the city to life. There is something magical about Melbourne at Christmas, with its joyful atmosphere and warm summer evenings.

I love taking leisurely drives through the countryside,

Discovering new places, or simply sitting on the grass by the State Library, feeling the warmth of the sun on my face.

Summer also brings the sweetness of juicy seasonal fruits and the refreshing delight of a melting ice cream on a hot afternoon.

The scent of summer flowers drifting through the air adds to the beauty of the season.

And yes, summer is New Year’s Eve here in Melbourne…

And this is for Ann’s LAPC

Oh, this is a proper hymn to the pleasures and beauty of summer. Even if you do have it at the ‘wrong’ time of year!

Oh who said we have it at the “wrong”time? Haha But to tell you the truth it would really be better to have Christmas when it’s cold.

I must say, the idea of a Christmas BBQ is just … Wrong!

Haha you’re funny! Well, we are not alone. It is the same as New Zealand.
