“Speak softly, but carry a big can of paint.” – Banksy, Wall and Piece
I have not visited Hosier Lane (Melbourne’s most celebrated lane for Streetart) for at least a year because of the pandemic. Last November was the first time that I was able to walk it’s cobblestone streets again once the restrictions have eased. It was no surprise that almost all of the street art were UPdated.
Amidst the aerosol painted walls, I noticed a few street art sculpture of faces with different expressions. They may have been there previously but now it was covered with layers upon layers of paint which made it a lot more interesting.

They must be new ..I’ve never seen them before ..it’s great that this street art is updated
I haven’t seen it before too, but I saw in google that these faces used to be white.
Beautiful
Thanks!
they’re lovely! 🙂 🙂
Thanks Wi, I also think they make an interesting difference!
These are great. The 3D faces add an extra dimension.
I know they are lovely aren’t they!
love the addition of faces – great street art
You just have to look longer and harder as it is easy to overlook. Thanks Becky.
For street art connoisseurs only then!
So far saw 3D murals (actually one) in Italy only. Beautiful!
❤️
Very special – love them.
Gee, thanks Ann-Christine.
Quite pretty street art Teresa. Glad you managed to have a look around that area again.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
Lucky we had a go in November and December because now we have new cases …it is hard to venture again. Thanks for the comment Sami.
We visited that lane in 2015!

Everything’s different now. Except for the Aboriginal boy at the top of the buildings. I guess because that is very hard to reach.
They make the wall so much more interesting 🙂 🙂
Indeed, Jo!
Very interesting, Teresa.
Thanks Miriam!
You’re welcome, Teresa!
These almost appear to be aboriginal. They are quite dramatic.
Thanks for the comment!
