“Creativity is a scavenger hunt. It’s your obligation to pay attention to clues, to the thing that gives you that little tweak.” – Elizabeth Gilbert
Anne’s challenge this week is a ‘Virtual Scavenger Hunt’—how fun is that? I’ve been digging through my photo archives and smiling at all the memories that popped up along the way. So, come and join me!
Something circular—the magnificent Astronomical Clock in Prague. Its details are stunning, and its beauty truly timeless. I know there’s a long and fascinating story behind all those dials, the sun, moon, and months, but honestly, it gets a bit confusing. Better I just admire it than risk explaining it all wrong!

Something with water—a puddle reflection I found in the Cotswolds. Believe me, it took ages (and a lot of awkward angles!) before I finally got it this clear.

Zigzag—the Liberty Bridge in Budapest, captured at night, its glowing lights tracing bold zigzag lines across the river.

Green eyes—a striking mural in Melbourne, its gaze impossible to miss.

With design—Gaudí’s Casa Batlló in Barcelona, a true masterpiece. Its flowing curves, vibrant colors, and whimsical details make the whole building feel alive with imagination.

Bumpy texture—a sculpture I spotted in a charming shop in Sassafras, full of character and tactile detail.

Glass—in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, where sparkling chandeliers catch and scatter the light.

These photos make your chosen scavenges truly sparkle and give of their best. Brilliant.
Glad you think so. Thanks Margaret.
Good ones Teresa, so different to mine. I’ve got that photo of the clock in Prague. The puddle photo was excellent.
Thanks Ali. Guess what, I had two versions and contemplating on which one to post haha
Great subjects and great photos. The clock look gorgeous and I love the puddle photo and the cat.
Thanks Eunice, happy to know your favourites.
Wonderful finds Teresa. I like the reflections in the puddle and the Gaudi building best
Thanks Brian. Gaudi’s works are my favourite of all time!
I must agree Teresa
These are wonderful shots on their own, regardless of the photo challenge. And from all over the world!
That shot at the Cotswolds intrigued me the most, because I’ve been there and never thought of shooting this angle!
Well just lucky that it rained the day before. Thanks Nes.
Well done on persisting to get that puddle shot! I know how hard it is to get the angles right for that sort of thing. And I love your choice for green eyes 😀
Thanks Sarah. Happy that you liked these two shots.
Marvelous set!
Thanks Ludwig.
What a lovely puddle! And such a wonderful gallery of images
Thanks so much. The puddle seems to be a favourite.
Teresa, I loved all your scavenged finds. The beautiful clock, Gaudí’s Casa Batlló and the cat mural are favorites. Thanks for playing.

Great choices for the scavenger hunt. I like the sculpture of the torso made from rings. I try my hand in my post tomorrow.
Thanks Rebecca. Can’t wait to see your hunt.
Thanks, Teresa.

I love that clock. Glad you like it too.
These are wonderful, Teresa! My favourite is – well, all of them, but the puddle! Wow!
That’s a favourite. Thanks A-C glad you liked it.
Wonderful set Teresa! I’ve really enjoyed the responses this week because they are all so on-point and so different from each other. Your green-eyed cat is my favorite this week.
